"London Law" a new novel by Frank Lloyd Byrd.

Mr. Byrd provides the reader with a new, thrilling episode in life of Detective Lucious London in the novel "London Law".

Frank Lloyd Byrd is the author of some 20 books. This new book, "London Law", is the third in the Lucious London series. Based again in the fictional harbor town of Bean, Maine, Mr. Byrd incorporates those things that make New England special and unique. From the wind swept beaches, to the taste of the plentiful seafood, Mr. Byrd uses this small town as one of his main characters. The reader will smell the ocean, and feel the ambiance that a small New England town offers. Yet, Mr. Byrd does not let the reader wander too far away from the storyline.

The plot, though somewhat atypical of police novels, is nevertheless just a back drop to the intrigue that the wily detective uncovers. A young lobster fishing heiress has gone missing, and the powerful family points the accusing finger at the local town mayor. With these charges, the mayor is facing both political and personal disaster. However, Detective London is not so sure, and his "London Law" theory begins to take shape. The reader follows the investigation through Mr. London's eyes and is privy to all the information gathered. From the golf courses where the rich play, to the fishing vessels where deck hands toil, the reader is drawn into the culture and society of this small New England fishing village. But, as Detective London uncovers, there is also the stench of jealousy, rage, and violence.

Mr. Byrd has penned an excellent novel. The reader will find pleasure in his style and his phrasing. "London Law" is just the type of thriller that those seeking the police/investigator genre will find interesting and fun to read. After reading this novel, one may never order lobster again.
